Career Profile
My name is Eseroghene Cecilia Adegor. I am a researcher and an academia.
I began my academic career with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Ibadan in 1995.
I advanced my academic pursuits with master’s degrees in both Human Physiology and Veterinary Public Health, culminating my studies with a Ph.D. in Physiology from Delta State University in 2017.
My teaching career spans institutions like Delta State University and the National Open University of Nigeria, where I progressed through the ranks from a Lecturer II to a Senior lecturer currently.
I have served in leadership positions such as Head of the Department of Physiology, as well as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Science and Laboratory Technology.
I also actively participate in university governance, serving on various boards and committees.
My area of specialization in research is gastrointestinal physiology and antimicrobial resistance.
My research findings have been published in reputable local and international journals.
I am a member of the Physiological Society of Nigeria and Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association.
Presently, as a Senior lecturer at the National Open University of Nigeria, I continue to contribute my quota in training undergraduate and post graduate students through teaching and carrying out research that will contribute knowledge to existing global information.”
